We Regret to Inform You
We regret to inform you of the passing of Robin Cohen, beloved husband of Melanie Cohen. The funeral will be Friday at 1pm in Sacramento.
Starting Sunday, Melanie will finish sitting shivah at her home, 5901 Colbath Ave, Valley Glen, CA 91401. There will be Evening Services at her home on Sunday the 12th & Monday the 13th at 8pm. Please come and do the mitzvah of comforting the bereaved.

Shabbat Services
Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 10am, Second Friday of the Month at 7:30pm for Family Shabbat. Fourth Saturday of each month we will be having Junior Congregation and Tot Shabbat which meets in Classroom at 10am - 11:30am.

Lunch & Learn with Rabbi Benson
Second Wednesday of the Month. Our next one is on March 14th. We'll be learning about "The Importance of Manners and Civility in Judaism". $10/session.
Shabbat Dinner & Guest Speaker
Our next dinner is Friday, February 24th at 6:30pm - $12 per person. Our speaker that evening is gerontologist Jan Somers who will speak on Jewish issues and aging. On March 23rd we have our next dinner and speaker Rabbi Len Muroff, a Jewish hospice chaplain.
Second Annual Israeli Wine Tasting
For those of you who remember the fun and education we had last year at the Wine Tasting Event with Carmit Becker, will be happy to hear that we are doing it again. The Second Annual Wine Tasting will take place here in Gan Rachel on Sunday, February 28 from 3:00pm - 6pm. The cost is $20 per person in advance and $25 at the door. The wine will be delivered before Passover. It's great for your table or for gifts. Please make your reservations in the office. Hope to see you all there!
SOVA Collection
You can still bring canned goods or gently used toys to the synagogue to donate to SOVA, which serves as many as 14,000 families a year during these difficult times.
